"The room was a very nice size with a four poster bed. Considering it was originally built in 1824, they did put in modern plumbing. The ceilings were high so it was kind of cool in the evenings. The inn had oil filled radiator looking type of heater. The room was comfortable using it late evening. Only draw back was we were given a room on the 3rd floor. The elevator only went to second floor. As we are elderly, we climbed 15 steps with luggage in tow. Next time will request a room on the second floor. Staff was very nice. They have a small tavern in the back of the inn. It was crowded due to everyone watching the Kentucky Derby. Overall it was a very nice stay."

"Absolutely delightful stay. The quarters were bright, clean, roomy, everything worked (TVs and internet these days are more complicated than it used to be with hotel stays!) Quiet, the continental breakfast was plentiful and hot. We had a great stay!"

"Was an amazing cabin, just what we hopped for. Far better than the listing photos show. Amenities were thoughtful, had frozen pizza one night and opened drawer to find pizza cutter! Plenty of coffee was provided, towels, extra linens. Everything was very clean. We stayed 4 days. Cell service is spotty and with family of 5 WiFi was slow but functional "

"What a lovely place. Everything we needed and then some. Would stay here again. So relaxing. The view, ping pong, & super happy to discover puzzles for us to do on the rainy day!(Only issue we had was it was wasp season & they kept getting in. Glad they were slow ones!)"

"The stay was better than I imagined it would be. Beautiful country view with green meadows and cows. So much history in this house. So many things in the house reminded me of my mother. Very quiet, comfortable and clean. It is the best place we have stayed. The communication with Nell was better than great. He stayed up late to help us find our way. We arrived in the dark and Nell was ready for us with the lights on so we could safely enter the house. I can’t wait to return and book this country cottage. "
