We think it entered through an area (a hole) of the front door framing that was exposed to the outside. The host immediately responded and made arrangements to have door inspected and repaired as needed, but we didn’t know if this addressed the problem or not, and just decided to leave a day early and not deal with it....

There were people in the barn next to us and the main house but we never interacted with them. Kitchen had the basics. Everything clean. Lighting was a bit dim though.
