"We had the unfortunate situation of a wind storm coming through, knocking out power, and resulting in frozen pipes, aka no heat. This could have ended our vacation but Jill, the host, was great. They drove up a bunch of firewood and had plumbers there to address the issue immediately"

"We had a wonderful time staying along the beautiful Kennebec River. Chris was very punctual with his thoughtful responses to my questions before and during our stay. If you're thinking about visiting in the winter, my only recommendation would be to come with good winter tires or AWD/4WD. The drive is fairly steep and although very well maintained by the plowing contractor, it is tricky when covered in 6". Gorgeous area, we will be back!"

"Great property, exceptional views....the house has great access to the lake. It snowed during our trip, so the large front windows made it a great vantage point to watch the snow and our ice fishing traps. "

"The log house is amazing, situated in the woods, but not far from Sugarloaf ski area. It is very cozy and spacious, it has everything needed, plenty of common areas and stuff for entertainment, we had a great time two families with high school age kids. The owner was very helpful with any questions we had. I’d definitely stay again. "

"Great accommodations from Chip and Kathy. In addition, they live nearby which is great in case anything pops up. Wood stove was already on when we arrived which was warm and cozy. House is right off of Rt 27 with about a 30 minute ride to the Sugarloaf base lodge. Will definitely stay there again."

"This home in the Timbers had good access to Windrow trail (3’ walk in ski boots). Home was clean and well stocked and pictures are accurate. Bedrooms are cozy and living spaces comfortable. Host Ryan was excellent with timely communication and support. While a major storm impacted our check-in, he made us whole with a generous compensation"
