"We came for a couple of hockey games and loved staying at this beautiful, cozy farmhouse. The hosts were welcoming and communicative, including recommending local restaurants. The beds are so soft and Lisa’s decorating makes you feel right at home. We had gorgeous fall weather so we spent a lot of time out on the deck with our morning coffee. The kitchen had what we needed and our hosts even left some welcoming snacks and great coffee. It is peaceful and quiet, yet only 15 minutes from downtown....

"Great place to stay in the Mankato, MN area. Nice, quiet property butting up to a city park with great facilities for kids. The property is a beautiful old (1912) church converted into two separate suites, each with a huge full kitchen and a large living/gathering area, and either 3 or 4 bedrooms. We hosted a total of 16 people with no problems. It just took a bit of schefuli forvthe bathrolms, as there is only 1 per suite."

This was followed by text messages (that we didn't see because phones were not in hand) asking permission for owner (who lives right next door) to come inside to check mouse traps that were set throughout the house (or just to make sure we left doors open as instructed by the notes that were attached to...
