"An easy, no frills hostel that made the first part of our time in Cusco enjoyable. The hosts were very nice and while the room was basic, the private room with bathroom was really all we needed. "

"A budget hotel near the Plaza de Armes. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Decent free breakfast. Reasonably quiet. Showers were cool, not sure if we were doing something wrong as we didn’t check with the staff. Overall if your standards are ok with just the basics for a low price then this is good value for your $."

"When I arrived with a friend I was told that we didn't have a reservation after the woman thought I was the one who booked & cancelled the room. We walked inside to resolve this issue but the place was filled with dogs and excretes. The woman couldn't find our reservation even though I clearly had the confirmation from hotels.com. she was very rude when we tried to leave to find a cleaner hostel. A guy was just staring at us with strange looks from the couch. I would not recommend staying here...

"My solo trip to Casa de la Gringa was the best gift I’ve ever given to myself! The staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was bright, clean, comfortable, and had a lovely loft space perfect for meditating! My fellow guests were wonderful- fellow seekers who became instant friends! I never felt lonely with all of these beautiful souls keeping me company. The hostel is in a great location, with many shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby in the gorgeous and funky San Blas area. I came for...

"This hotel was awesome. The property manager was INCREDIBLY accommodating. There a warm is breakfast every morning delivered to the room. Disability accommodating as well - a modern elevator to take you up to your room. Great location with a fabulous view. "

"Wonderful stay! The only thing a did not like was that the rooms did not have AC units and not a lot of ventilation which was ok for the current temperature in Cusco. Other than that, everything was wonderful. "

"This is an amazing find in Cusco! Close to everything (safe and walkable to city centre, restaurants and museums) and even next to the artisan marketplace. The breakfast is probably one of the best I have seen with so many options - classic omelettes to Peruvian cuisine. The shuttle from/to the airport was wonderfully convenient. And if you go on an O/N excursion to Machu Picchu, they are happy to store your luggage safely and secure. Couldn't ask for a better option in Cusco!"

"Situated in the old part of the city gives one easy access to the prettiest area of the city. Love the central patio and the excellent food in the restaurant. Hotel employees are helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this property to those planning a trip to Cusco. "

Hidden Gem, highly recommend!

"Such a gem!! This privately owned boutique hotel is fabulous. The feel is luxury authentic. The restaurant is excellent, staff and service are friendly, helpful and overall lovely! They go above and beyond with the details- like a wool warm water bottle tucked into your bed, great for recovery after hiking!!! Rooms are spacious, bathrooms impeccable, beds comfortable, surroundings are peaceful - a little terrace off my room opened up to a water fountain and beautiful garden courtyard - relaxing to listen to the water. The lobby is even gorgeous and relaxing with tea and a fireplace. "
