"This was our second stay at the purple house and we had a wonderful time. The location is quiet, and an easy walk to both the lake and the main street where most of the restaurants and stores are. The host is very nice and very responsive. The place had a lot of amenities as well."

"We stayed during the off season (April) and loved the location of this place to some of our favorite wineries! It's also a quick trip into Watkins Glen. The place itself was quirky with a fully stocked kitchen and clean bathroom. We saw the owners a few times and they are incredibly friendly and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. Other reviews complained about the beds but we didn't mind them at all. The living space was perfect for our two kids to play."

"Came with my mother in law for family days. My daughter is at Ithaca College. We had a great stay even though my daughter & I both had colds. The thoughtfulness of our host made our stay out of this world! We were able to make a homemade dinner for my daughter & a classmate. It's close enough to town but far enough to feel peaceful.
