"Check in was smooth as Pippo and Lucia were there when we arrived. Property is beautiful, very clean, a lovey terrace with beautiful views across Modica. However, Modica is a city of steps and Casa Alecci is in Modica Alta which is atcthe veryvtop so make sure you have transport sorted before you arrive. In addition, the property has no internet access so make sure you have a data package. We loved our stay at Modica in Casa Alecci but it may not suit everyone. "

"This hotel is perched above the town and has a beautiful garden filled with fruit trees, and views of the duomo, town and valley. It's a lovely, quiet place and it even has parking about 5 minutes up the hill, which is impossible to find in Ragusa Ibla. The staff are very gracious, and the breakfast was delicious. The room was so quiet, and the bed was very comfortable with a mattress topper. We highly recommend it. "

"The place was no longer a hotel ( for over a year ) & hotels.com did not know ???? The upset this caused when arrived was unbelievable, it tookover 3 hours on thephone to try & sort this nightmare out."

"Having spent 11 nights at Villa Matari we are very happy about our stay, and our biggest regret is that we could only have 10 breakfasts as we had to leave very early on our last day! 😂 The B&B is conveniently located in Fontane Bianche close to the beach (Camomilla), the main bar/bakery (Tortuga) and the mini-market (Holiday Market). "The house was absolutely stunning and well equipped. Marilena met use at the villa and showed us through the house - even had stocked in wine, drinks, some starter groceries and we were good to go. Very responsive when we texted a few questions. The house was very relaxing with many places to relax /eat indoor or outdoors. It is a good base to tour southeast Sicily with everything we wanted to do seeming to be 30-60 minutes drive - visiting towns and restaurants."

"Great surprise! Wonderful hotel built on original historic architecture in the center of town. We arrived late but were greeted so well by Michel. He was very helpful as were the other staff at the front desk. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go back! Oh yes, and lovely breakfast space."

"This was a great property with lovely rooms, nice staff, good restaurant. Location is ok if you have a car. Great parking with either outside or underground for a small fee. Not close to town so you need a car or transportation to get to town. Not really a walkable location to see anything. But overall a great place to stay while visiting this area. "

"This was a last minute booking for one night at half 3 in the afternoon. What a fantastic find! There wasn't much around at the end of October and based on reviews and us having a car, we went for this. We wish we had had more time but needed a car to be returned to Syracuse by 11 next day :( I cannot say enough positive things about the place, the staff, the welcome, the price including breakfast and aside to the room, the gorgeous garden space and furniture. It was a calm relaxing area. We didn't use the pool being so late in but had a fabulous meal in the hotel with great service and good quality. The breakfast was as good. This hotel deserves to continue doing well as the staff are the best resource. Grazie per tutti x"
