"Friendly check in. Very clean room and comfortable bed. I think it's just been refurbished Good buffet breakfast in the morning, excellent cup of coffee. Big bonus is the car park, a lot of places in Oban don't have this I'll definitely book into here next time. towntown"

I had to ask for toiletries as they were all empty or nearly empty. Reception staff friendly and helpful. I felt 10am check out was a bit early "

"Everyone was most accommodating and went out of their way to assist. The nicest touch was the to go breakfast bag placed outside each guests’s door. Would gladly stay there again. It didn’t hurt that Oban is an absolutely beautiful seaside town!"

"I'll cut to the chase with this one. If you're expecting all the frills, you won't get them. HOWEVER... Its an absolute bargain and certainly ideal for a short break. The hotel itself may be in need of some work (and it looks like some of that work has started), but ultimately, its clean, comfortable, ideally located given its very close proximity to the railway station etc, and even the noise issues that people had raised in other reviews wasnt an issue. You might get a bit of background noise but its not offputting and what do you expect? Its in the town centre next to a railway station and a ferry port. I still managed a good nights sleep. Check in was also very straightforward and easy too. Definitely recommended for anyone who needs a place to get a good nights kip for the next days adventures. 👍"
