"The room was comfortable and clean but a little small. We did have a room with two queen beds and a double pull-out sofa which we ended up using also so the room was hard to maneuver with the pul-out extended. The bathroom was nice and clean. They allowed us to extend our stay until 12:00 which was very helpful for us for that last morning. The view of Lake Superior from our room window and the breakfast area was amazing."

"It is super cute, clean, and beautiful. Having no windows was not a problem, and the heater, fan, beds, microwave, and sink were lovely features. The stone walls are very cool, as is the general aesthetic. We had a shared bathroom, but it was no problem with 2 bathrooms shared between 4 rooms. I never once saw anyone else using it. "The executive suite is larger than expected. Room is exactly as pictured except there's more room to move around. First floor has a separated balcony space right off the living room which was not expected. The only downside was being next to the staircase to the 2nd floor rooms. Thankfully it's only 2 rooms per staircase so you only heard them running up and down stairs a few times a day, and you can hear every step they take in the room above you. "Very nice room and view of the lake. Staff was very friendly and helpful, other guest seemed nice as well. Overall I’d give it 4.5 stars. And just cause it’s always best to keep a lil room for growing but very nice stay and pretty quiet, rooms are close seeming yet very well spaced out if sharing a cottage and nice decor and cozy"

"The suite was nice with a kitchen area and the beds were super comfy. We were on the 3rd floor, though, and the people above us were jumping and banging until midnight. "

"Nice, inexpensive (in the area) hotel. Pool was warm, which was nice. Little disappointed that the jets in the hot tub didn't work (stayed for the hot tub because we were sore after a day of helping people move). Shower had great water pressure and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty simple."

"Loved staying here for a quiet weekend away in February 2025. The rooms are good in size with freidge and coffee pot; clean linens, mirrors, etc. The breakfast is amazing and the pool was super relaxing but being so close to the shops and great food makes all the difference for us when in Duluth and we love the Inn. "

Woodsy Personal Retreat Cabin - "Solitude"

5/5 Excellent

"I was looking to distress, unwind, and relax in quite semi off grid place. They came through, it was a short 2 minute walk for parking the car to the cabin. Yet the location of cabin was secluded enough, you felt like you walked 10 minutes into the woods! The cabin was small and cozy, and very nice fireplace that did its job well. The bed was very comfortable, and it was nice to have a little frig to put my food in and a coffee pot for my morning caffeine. I took the trail from lodge to the private beach, it was so worth trudging snow, then came back along river. I left feeling relaxed and refreshed, I will definitely be staying again."

Timber Frame House overlooking Lake Superior, 20 miles from downtown Duluth

Spacious, comfortable, entertaining -- all around excellent

"As each family arrived, they commented some variation on 'wow, this is nicer than the photos!'We visited for a long weekend with four families (8 adults, 13 children) to ski nearby. There was plenty of space to spread out and lots of room for the children to play - ping pong, darts, board games, snow fort building etc. The sauna was lovely and could fit almost all the adults. Plenty of seating, plenty of blankets and pillows, plenty of beds. Kris was very responsive and helpful. It snowed while we were there, but we were able to make it out of the driveway and gravel road. Overall a top-notch place to stay with a crowd. "
