"We stayed at this home Christmas week. It proved the perfect base for family aged 87 to 16. There was room enough for everyone to spread out. Commuications were excellent and host was very responsive. Our goal was to be able to have both traditional holiday dinners and gatherings and the adventure of exploring monuments and museums.The set up would also be convenient for families with younger children. "Great location for Nationals games or DC area sight seeing. If all you need is a safe place to lay your head and not bleed out your wallet, this place is a simple, no frills to do just that. Shower was roomy with great pressure. Beds were ok. You do have to walk thru one room, then thru the bathroom, to the twin beds room but wasn’t a big deal for us and our teen boy. No kitchen sink but we didn’t eat in. That’s the beauty of a trip away. Local place for custard and food were awesome. Explored...

"This property was more than I could’ve asked for. It was located next to the best restaurants and shops. I parked in the Courthouse garage which was only 10/day. I felt safe walking by myself with my kids at night in the area. Also there was always an Uber close by. Will definitely be coming back!"

"The home was very clean and comfortable. The coffee bar was great! Groceries, restaurants and the Metro train all within a 20 min walk! And the owner was very available to us via text. We loved our visit! We would have appreciated a heads up to the no shoe rule more than 24 hours in advance as we drove and were already on the road, so we didn't have the opportunity to pack slippers. Also, the neighbors will call you out if the TV is too loud at 10:01pm, so be prepared. Other than those...

"Me and my family (9 total) came to visit our family up in DC! The stay was great! Everything you needed was already in the home. There is plenty of space for everyone! The home was clean as well. The host is easy to get in contact with as well. It was also easy to get uber to come to the house to get us when we wanted to go out too! It’s about a 15 minute drive from downtown DC. We will be staying here again. "

The basement apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location is great, close to landmarks in Washington DC. Highly recommended for short stays!"

"From start to finish this was just about as superb an experience as one could wish for. Finding this gem of a spot on VrBO and reaching out, found rapid and complete response from the hosts. Checking in was a breeze, all the pre-check in information was spot on (including some great tips about things nearby). The home is appointed beautifully, incredibly comfortable and the lushness of the towels alone was delightful. Definitely bookmarking this spot and plan to visit again!"

"This was the perfect location and size for our family of 4 to use as a base camp to explore greater DC. The walk to King Street or the Waterfront was 10-15 minutes or less. The Metro station was 10 minutes or less. There was a Trader Joe’s about 2 blocks away. Loved the location and the neighborhood vibe. Look forward to visiting again."

"Located on a quiet street, and didn't have any issues finding street parking close by. Close enough to drive to most anywhere or get to a metro station if you would prefer to travel that way. It was big enough for our family of 5 and met our needs for our vacation. All the stairs took some getting use to since every room is on a different level. Check-in and check-out was easy. "

"The house was fine and had some great upgrades but I have to agree with the previous review about the TV ‘sOnly the living room and one smaller bedroom had working TV’s .One of them in the middle bedroom had nothing but snow. The host advised me that they don’t provide streaming services. However nothing at all was on the screen when powered on ….and the basement had no working remotes. The fireplace still wasn’t working.So these problems have not been corrected since the last reviewer was...

"We have stayed twice now at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was freshened daily. The property inside and out is clean and tidy. There are convenience items and snacks sold on site but there is a 7 Eleven and a Whole Foods nearby. I believe there is also an exercise room but we did not use it. Also on a side note we parked at Dulles Airport and took the Silver line directly to Foggy Bottom metro, which is about 2 blocks away. Way cheaper and easy peasy. Lastly if you are...
