"What a view! What a house! We entered the house to be greeted by a welcome gift bag with lovely food treats ready to start our holiday and soak in that view! We had the most amazing time. We enjoyed short walks to the beach, lazying, watching the waves in the backyard, and watching our dog, Lucy Lou, run for miles just past the back gate of the house. Highly recommended. "

"The accommodation was exactly as advertised. The hosts were quick to reply to any questions or concerns we had. The pool was warm on our arrival as requested. The house itself was full of amenities to make us feel at home. Walking distance to some shops and the waterfront was nice. I would highly recommend booking a stay here. We hope to return one day. "We enjoyed our stay very much. We do have one critisism however regarding the lack of curtains or blinds on the windows. It was mentioned by a previous guest but as it was a long time ago I thought it might have been addressed. Unfortunately not. The result was that there was no privacy in the kitchen and lounge which was off putting."

"Very scenic house, lots of space and well equipped with everything you need. "

"Wonderful location. Wonderful home. Even the wild weather was spectacular. Unexpected issues: 1. The dishwasher and microwave had not been cleaned for a long time and we had to do this. This should be done after every renter. 2. Insufficient bin liners. 3. A vase of dead flowers was on the table when we arrived. 4. There was insufficient toilet paper for our stay. 5. The TV in the lower lounge area should be set up with free to air channels."

"The house is very clean and tidy located in a quiet area. There are many stairs inside the house while the bedrooms are located in the top level. It is not suitable for the young kids and elderlies, especially for those who have leg / back problems. We booked for 8 adults. There isn't enough cutleries for a simple meal. We can only find six forks in the kitchen drawer when we are having noodles. Nevertheless, we are happy staying in this holiday house. Thank you house owner. "

"Advertised as 4 x Queen beds which as not the case, 1 bed was a double. Backing plate for front door lock extremely loose making it easier for someone to gain access illegally. Cleaning staff should have reported this to management. Some other smaller issues also. Safety issues: Evacuation diagrams mounted behind bedroom doors. Spa CPR chart lying on ground behind spa. Carpet in upstairs hallway loose creating a trip hazard. Wooden steps to outdoor entertaining area loose/rotten,screws/nails...

"This home was exactly as advertised and more. The house is beautiful, with amazing views of the lake which was a pleasure to wake up to everyday. It feels homey and was immaculate. All amenities worked and provided my family and I and amazing place to get reqdy for a wedding. Would definitley recommend this place to friends and family if were not booking this place first. "Hilltop Haven is a beautiful property and was perfect for our girls weekend away. The property is new and stylishly furnished with a lot of space. It is spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing break. We were a group of 4 and each had our own bedroom.
