"We stayed for 4 nights between Christmas and Nee Year. All of the staff were lovely and so accommodating. We had a dog with us, who was welcome in all areas of the hotel. We food is delicious lots of choices for breakfast and main meals. Cannot wait to book to stay again. "

"Met my good walking friend here. We walked the coastal path from the Sawmills to Lee Bay. The coastal path was a stones throw from the pub. Staff were able to signpost us to the path well. They even checked us into our room at 0945 !!!! Wow!! Loved the fairy lights on our return! Loved the menu: we both had curry, one fish, one sweet potato... So yummy!!! Lovely comfy room and dog friendly too!! After out 9 miles,and a quick end of day dip in Coombe Martin, we both loved the huge sunflower showerhead and loved the wood burning fire!!! Smashing full breakfast before setting off the next morning and such friendly staff. Very attentive . Please please please make Irish / tipple style coffees possible!!! That would have crowned my evening !!! Would definitely recommend the Sawmills to friends and stay again!! Thank you!! "

"The house was perfect for our birthday celebrations for our parents. There were 18 of us but there was still so much room. The house is huge! It was a quick walk down to the seafront and a handy Lidli was close by. We enjoyed the hot tub and the views out to sea. Some of the decor is a little tired but didn’t detract from our stay. It had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend!"

"The property is a listed building located on a hill overlooking Ilfracombe's harbour and coast. We had a top floor room affording good views (binoculars are provided). The bedroom was well furnished, bedding was spotless cotton linen. The breakfast menu was provided in advance allowing you to notify your order ready for preparation the breakfast selection and ingredients were first class. There are parts of Ilfracombe where some premises are empty and have been vandalised having a detrimental impact on the Town's appearance."

"It’s a very nice hotel not a lot of noise but the WiFi in certain rooms doesn’t work well and the phone signal isn’t strong enough to counteract it "

"Lovely decor. We had Room 3 which was the family suite and were pleasantly surprised that it was two bedrooms and huge private bathroom. Would have liked a shower in place of a bath for convenience but the bath was a glorious design. Good breakfast & friendly host. "
