"I booked this hotel as I was attending a funeral nearby. The manager and all the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are simply furnished, but clean and comfortable. I noticed that some of the rooms were being updated while we were there. I had the Sunday lunch (Steak pie and veg) which was excellent and plenty of it too. The breakfast is of the continental style with no limit on what one ate and bottomless tea and coffee. We had to be out of the room by 11am. And as the service was not until 12.30, The management allowed our group to sit in the restaurant and even laid on more coffee for us 5 star staff and service "

"Just returned from a 2 night stay at Raven Hall ….. really impressed by our stay. Staff and service excellent 👍 breakfast was really good with the best view towards Robin Hoods Bay. The hotel is slightly tired in some areas but looks like renovation is underway and our room was beautiful. The staff upgraded us as it was my husband’s 79th birthday. Would not hesitate in recommending and will certainly be back….many thanks to the staff !! "

"This is a clean 3 star hotel dated but our room was lovely and clean and Warm. ashower was hot. Tea and coffee provided. great value for money, reminded me of the 1970s. :-)"

"It's an old pub so don't expect sparkling chrome and fancy fittings. It's a great old country pub, with comfortable beds, excellent food, really friendly staff and exactly what you would expect from a country pub. We'll definitely return. "
