"The property is beautiful, the staff is incredible, the food and cocktails are excellent! I had no complaints. We stayed 3 nights and it was exceptional. The walk to town is a little far but we did it twice! I wanted the exercise anyway. The staff was so hardworking, friendly, and helpful. I will come back if I'm in that part of the country again! HIGHLY recommend."

"We had an amazing stay at Boca de Agua. Caesar, the activities guide, was incredible. After booking the sunrise kayak tour with him on our first day, we booked a different activity with him every day. "

"It was not as nice in reality as in the pictures. It was OK though. Basically clean. The light in the bathroom did not work. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I slept very well there. The area was inconvenient, far away from the centre of town, so that you are dependent on taxis to get around. The taxi drivers are good though and charged a fair price. I never felt ripped off by them. While the area did not feel overtly unsafe, it was pretty grungey, not the best part of town. Were I to visit Bacalar again, I'd probably look for somewhere else to stay because of this hotel's isolated location. "
