"Very good and especially for the price. Very comfy bed and pillows. Great shower. Wifi excellent and included in the price paid. Good facility as expected ie tea, coffee. Only thing to be mindful of for other guests would be to say the property doesnt make clear that they wont send you details of how to self check in until the actual day of your arrival, as you need a door pincode to access your room, and its very difficult to make contact with the property. "This is high quality b and b we stayed here for new year's eve and had a lovely time we was welcomed and the host was very friendly and helpful we would definitely stay here again, the rooms was clean and the beds was really comfortable, there was lovely little touches to the room and snacks and biscuits and little chocolates on the pillow the furniture and towels was high quality thank you for a welcoming stay "

"I was able to experience staying in a typical Victorian house. The owner made sure I had all I needed; he was prompt, cheerful, and polite. Groceries, fine dining, take-out, etc. are all nearby. I especially liked the charity shops where I was able to buy old books."

"Lovely staff, easy check in, fantastic room very comfy and clean and had everything we could have wished for. The only down side was someone was hammering on the front door for half an hour at 4.30am which woke us up but will definitely stay here again. Haven’t tried the breakfast yet as it’s only 7am but I’m told it’s wonderful!"

"A real hidden jem in a small village with lots of facilities. Opposite the Castle and duck pond. Not far to lots of tourist hotspots and when you get back plenty of free parking. Its an old building with creaking floorboards but that odds to the charm."

"From checking in to leaving,...can not fault our stay.fabulous room with all that you wanted in...quiet an peacfull...room.Choice of dinning options brilliant ...food was first class.palm court meal was one of the best we have had.All staff verry atentiv,most helpfull withh any quire .would not hesitae to go back to this hotel"

Fantastic stay

"First time we have stayed at the hotel and it’s safe to say we were not disappointed. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming and the hotel’s facilities are excellent. The breakfast is really good and there is plenty to choose from, also the free secure parking is excellent and an added bonus. The restaurant is excellent and they have some great offers on for residents, the hotel offered a New Year’s Eve party special which was a 3 course meal with a glass of Prosecco and was very well priced. Chester city centre is a 5 minute walk which is ideal and if you walk along the canal path there’s a great pub 3 minutes away called the Harkers Arms. We enjoyed the hotel that much we have already booked for New Year’s Eve this year and we can recommend this hotel highly. Also our room was cleaned every day with the towels replaced every day, all together we had a fantastic 3 nights and the staff were first class."
