"Late arrival and early out but was still welcomed by Alice the owner. Breakfast was offered and even provided at an earlier time than normally given, for which I was very grateful. A great cooked breakfast kicked off my morning and soon I was on my way. This was a perfect location to break up a long North to South journey. Very pleasant indeed. Sad that I missed out on what looked like a super Chinese dining experience for an evening meal! And just a few mins of the A1M"

"Room was lovely, and fairly quiet for above a pub. When we arrived there was several sets of bedding’s and sheets drying in our room over chairs and a clothes airier, must have been left by housekeeping but not in issue we just folded and set aside. Only downfall was that the shower head didn’t stay up. We ate and drank in the pub also, food was absolutely gorgeous both evening meal and breakfast. "

"We took a spontaneous trip to Malham Cove for a night away. This lovely hotel is down a quiet country road 1/2 a mile from the cove and near to several other pubs and cafes. The building is very old and reached over an old stone bridge or the beck (stream) Parking is available and the room was nicely furnished with views of the water and a very comfy bed. "the room was not warm enough and although mentioned to the staff, it was some time before the heating was sufficient. The tea maker was in a cupboard on the floor. This is the first time I have encountered this in a hotel, This was not easy to make the first cup of tea in the morning. Having mentioned these two points, the staff we met were very helpful and pleasant.
