We’d have preferred to be in the main building, for convenience and ambience, however, the room was good and clean. The staff were great and the bar area was really nice, plus it’s very central. Overall, we’d stay again."

"This is the 3 rd time we have stayed at the Wild Boar and we decided to Upgrade our room this time . Unfortunately the shower had not be cleaned and had cobwebs hanging from It clearly Indicating it had not been cleaned throughly for some time . All staff were friendly and the meals are fantastic unfortunately the standard of cleanliness of the shower somewhat tarnished the stay as the room upgrade was significantly more expensive than the standard rooms. "

"Fantastic place to stay. We used it as a base to visit the lakes and dales for a couple of days. Hotel/pub was in a lovely little village. We were in the Superior room which had a lovely view overlooking the river. Room itself was big with a nice comfortable double bed.
