"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was large and spotlessly clean, with an incredibly comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, very good quality food and served in a friendly manner. It was also great to have the guests lounge which we used several times. We were given all the relevant information for check in and found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending Holly Lodge and would definitely stay again if we are in the area."

"I had an excellent stay at Ellerbrook House. It’s conveniently located a block away from the Windermere High Street. I was able to walk into town every night with a great choice of local cafes, restaurants and pubs. My room was fantastic. To my surprise I had what looks like a new but very large bed. My room was completely renovated. New bathroom fittings good water pressure. I was on the top floor and found it very quiet at night and it was well heated. My room was made up every day...

"Great stay for 2 nights. Check in was easy. Though the room for 3 persons was a little tight, it was cosy with adequate walking space. Just be mindful that opening of big luggage could be a challenge in the limited area. Breakfast options were great and hosts were most friendly. Certainly a recommended accommodation in Windermere. Within walking distance to restaurants, shops and shopping. Love it!"

"Great stay and a super friendly and helpful owner. Breakfast is pre-ordered on a tablet when you arrive, unfortunately the tablet wasn't charged up but that is no big deal and the breakfast was very good!!"

So good to have a small dining are inside the room. Breakfast arrived on a little trolly and the choice and quality was exceptional. "We had a wonderful stay at 1 Park Road in September, having stayed here now for many years. Hilton is an excellent host and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is beautiful with allergens catered for with prior notice. Such a relaxing time in the lovely bright dining room. "Lovely coay B&B. Decor is modern but in theme with the lake district. Lots of little home comforts included. The owners are very friendly and cant do enough for you. Breakfast was very good and all cooked to order with a hige range to choose from. Rooms are lovely and its in a great location. free parking too which is a big plus point."

"Mike and Lynn run a first-class professional establishment. They provide an appropriately relaxed environment with excellent facilities. Our room was quiet, spacious and spotless. The bed was comfortably firm. For those traveling by car, the ample parking in an enclosed courtyard is a rare bonus. Breakfast selections are prepared with care. Lovely two night break

"The hotel is situated perfectly to walk around Bowness. It was really clean and our room whilst elements are older / a bit dated, looked like had not long been redecorated so felt lovely. Breakfast was brought to your table, with a view of the lakes. Can’t fault it. Would go again. "

Would Stay Again.

"We stayed here because it was Dog friendly. Overall, I would say we had an excellent stay. The hotel is true to its description of Dog friendly, although tou can’t eat in the restaurant with them (which is reasonable). There were a lot of families with dogs and they were made very welcome. The bar was also child friendly with toys and games available. The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was that one of us is a vegetarian and there were no items available from the tapas menu, which was disappointing and reduced the options available. "
