Overall very clean, only let down by the rusty rails in the bathroom. Wouldnt put me off staying again, it was so peaceful and comfortable."

"Always enjoy our stay at Union Road , it is so convenient for visiting my family. They make you feel so welcome. I am sorry to say if there is one thing we don't like is the fact that the rooms are dog friendly, and we are not dog lovers. I don't know if all rooms are dog friendly but if they are it might be a problem for future stays as my wife can break out in a rash."

"I went to book into the hotel and it was closed, dark and empty. I tried to contact them on both numbers provided. Nothing. No answer, no call back. I tried all day and it was so frustrating and worrying as we had no idea where we were going to sleep that night. I left it until 5pm and then found another place to stay. "We had a warm welcome at Watermead House. Having booked very late, our room was on the top floor. It was extremely comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities, a large screen television and a spacious shower. We found it lovely and quiet. We appreciated the advice on local restaurants which were a short walk away. Breakfast was exceptional, ordered the evening before from a wide selection so no delay and very tasty. "

"We were all very impressed with the place, for a huge property it was exceptionally clean everywhere and filled with everything you need. Bigger with some older style rooms, it gave a great feel for hide and seek. It provided a good base for all of us to hang out together whilst giving some space, great for games and a couple walks in the area. We really enjoyed our cold pond dips followed by warming up in the hot tub. This was already warmed up for us on arrival and lots of wood and starters...
