"We had a wonderful stay over the festive period celebrating a 90th birthday and xmas day. Communication was fantastic and host pulled out all the stops when it came to being magical for my two children.Place was equipped with everything you need,beds were very comfortable and the towels were lovely and soft. We will definitely be back. "

"Beautiful area, so peaceful and quiet. We saw a herd of deer pass by, red kites, owls and a sea eagle. As a pet owner I’m always worried about space for my dog, absolutely no worries here, as long as you keep your dog under control they have room to relax too ! Everything you need is supplied , loved the wood stove and the wee oven underneath made perfect pizza’s. "A fantastic place to spend time for two, a romantic getaway. Owners should work on cleanliness Since we found cobwebs, the room a little tired of use. I paid to use the sauna and jacuzzi - the sauna is not working and no one has informed me about it. Jacuzzi great."

"OK the long driveway is a bit bumpy.... But worth it. The views are amazing. The lodge looks like it was built yesterday. Absolutely spotless. Considering the weather was cold.... And very mixed..... But mostly cold.... Inside cabin was always toastie. The hot tub was great apart from the wind ripping across and freezing your head. "What a well thought out and well kept place to stay, Peaceful, relaxing, countryside views. The owners have thought of everything, compact yet comfortable with everything you'd need. "Travelled with a child and we both greatly enjoyed our stay. Made to feel very welcome and found our room comfortable and clean. Netflix was a bonus for the 9 year old! We dined in the restaurant and both loved the food, finding it good quality and delicious. Kids menu had enough choice. We will be returning for another visit, as it is a beautiful drive up the coast and lovely to stay in an older property which has character."

Welcome hosts, superb food.

"We felt the front area of the hotel was a little tired and we were not sure what the bedrooms would be like. When we got to the bedroom is was very clean and comfortable, there is a new bathroom fitted and the bed and linen was very good quality. There was a good choice of tea and coffee on the tray. The food was superb! Wonderful choice well prepared for dinner about mid price with big portions especially the starters! The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We will be back."

Business trip

"I ended up having to book the small room as it was relatively last minute, however, the room was very cozy, bed was comfortable and a good shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were very good. The breakfast offered in the morning was excellent and even had the added bonus of Stornoway Black Pudding. The hotel has a nice garden to relax in and is right next to the beach that you can enjoy in good weather. Will definitely be back next time in local area on business. "
