"The cottage is very nice. It is on two levels, the kitchen/dining is down quite a steep staircase that I found difficult to negotiate. I'm nearly 70 and my daughter fast approaching 50, so not spring chickens! If you want to use the sofa as a bed there is a 35 pound charge for linen that isn't made clear when booking. We both slept in the one bed which was fine. Extra charges should be mAde clear on booking and the fact it only has one bedroom was disappointing. Otherwise nice place if somewhat...

Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. "Comfortable cottage with roaring wood stove. We were surprised by a morning of snow which added to the beauty. Kim, our host was the best, helping us when needed, even suppling candles at last minute when a predicted windstorm threatened power outage which luckily never came. "

"The rooms all have large beautiful windows and we appreciated all the day light. It is a relatively quiet neighborhood with many shops and dining options. The apartment had a well stocked kitchen and there is a food market right next to the building which was so convenient. We were in the apartment for 9 days during the Fringe which was wonderful. "

"Great central location from which to explore the Borders region from Bamburgh to Melrose ; from the Alnwick Gardens to Edinburgh. After a great day exploring to return to our quiet countryside cottage for a relaxing glass while watching the sunset over the hills as the the horses enjoying a late night snack in the paddock and the swifts and bats doing tricks was wonderful .
