"We enjoyed our time in Herbster. The cabin was stocked with all the creature comforts, and its location - nestled in the woods along the lakeshore - was outstanding. We enjoyed our morning beverages as we watched the sunrise each morning. Cooking breakfast and lunch in the kitchen was easy with all the provided items. "Our family loves Madeline Island and we were looking for a place that was close to everything, yet was quiet and fit all our needs. This place checked all the boxes! This place had everything we needed and more. It was tucked away with a beautiful view of the golf course. It had an ample amount of towels, kitchenware, beds and seating. It was the perfect place to stay. Highly recommend! "

"Great space for two families with young-ish kids, and it was a bonus that we hit beautiful fall colors. We loved exploring the nearby woods on our way to town. Conveniently located near ferry to Madeline Island. House is stocked with everything you may need, including entertainment and toys for kids."

"This is our second time staying at this property and like my title says, it just keeps getting better the more you come. This time, we added to our crew and brought my parents with. They loved the place. Our girls could not get over how many toys they had to play with and how much space they had to run and play in and on the property. Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin with us. We’ll be back again!"

"Island Fox was a nice home to stay on the island and had everything we needed and was conveniently located. The screened in porch was comfortable to sit and read without the bugs. We even saw a bear! The check in process ended up being very easy however I didn’t get communication on it in advance and no response when I messaged and called on our drive up. All in all a great stay. Thank you for sharing your home."

"The real issue was that we were unprepared because the listing was misleading. There were no firepits - listing indicated there were 2. Grill was charcoal and the store on the island charged $20! There were no beach towels - only 4 big towels for showering that needed to double as beach towels. No pizza cutter but decorative seashell butter spreaders - seems odd. No extra paper towels. Listing made it seem that there was a master bathroom - nope. There was one main bathroom and a VERY small...

"We had plenty of space to enjoy ourselves. The updated living space was nice. The bedrooms were more of a cabin feel - spacious but not updated. The bathrooms were updated, small but nice. I enjoyed the ease of being able to walk to town. The outdoor deck furniture needs replacing except for a few of the folding chairs."

"Amazing home, space, view, people to work with! The owner Luke was almost instantly responsive to any questions or info I needed. I've never stayed in a vrbo that was that well-stocked with EVERYTHING. And the view was breathtakingly magnificent. The cleaner Renee couldn't have been nicer or more helpful with all of our questions and needs. I give Luke, his staff and home a thousand stars! "
