"We had a wonderful stay at the Rafkos mansion. Stelios the owner took us wherever we needed to go and we had delicious meals at one of the local restaurants. It would be wise to have a car because it’s in a village about 30mins. from Heraklion. Stelios is the definition of Greek hospitality! "

"Room was clean and bed was very comfortable.The staff were very pleasant and helpful. My only complaint was my room faced the street and at times it was quite noisy. Parking is a premium on the street but the hotel has an arrangement with the city for parking at 8 euro/day The breakfast was first rate!"

"We had an excellent 6 nights at Lato. The property is very well maintained. Someone is always cleaning! The breakfast is delicious with MANY items from which to choose! Staff is quick and attentive. We ate a few times in the hotel restaurant. Our meals were excellent. The wine list is short but selective and reasonably priced. The wait staff were highly attentive and professional. Their thoughtfulness added to the positives of our meals."

"Clean room, AC worked well and bed was comfy. Close to the port for catching ferry early and walkable to old town. We didn’t have the breakfast as we left too early, but it was available for 10 euro per person "
