"The house feels a lot like a frontier cabin. It’s essentially one 3-4 story main room with 8 bedrooms connecting directly to it on two levels. We enjoyed the large fireplace in the main room, but wished the available seating better matched the room size. The cabin is rustic - lovely wood finishings throughout excepting the lowest bedroom which, along with the downstairs, could benefit from an update and some warmth (temp and decor). "We had a lovely time at this property. Very cute cabin feel, perfect for the fall. We were in town for a wedding at Pats Peak and were able to walk to the venue. "We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this beautifully restored 257 year old farmhouse. The location was peaceful and private — truly an unexpected gem within minutes of the center of New Hampshire’s capital city. During our stay we experienced two snowstorms and we were grateful for our host’s balance of respecting our privacy while also ensuring us safe access in and out of the snowy property. We can’t wait to return in June and again in September! "

"This place is great for large groups. So many different rooms to socialize and not feel overwhelmed. The kitchen has everything you could possible need (just bring extra paper towels, garbage bags etc, if you are there for a longer stay). It’s seems that there are some electrical issues with the home but nothing that disrupted our stay & the caretaker did their best to rectify the issue.
