"Stayed here from Ohio while visiting family members in the area. Beautiful, very clean, quiet place. Hot tub was absolutely amazing as that is what caught my eye while booking. Nice area. Close to shopping and dining. Couldn’t ask for a better place. Will be booking again if available on our next trip in the spring. Thanks Colin and Jess! "The location was beautiful and quiet. We were looking for an older home with charm, so this fit the bill for our group of eight. The downstairs bed / bath worked well for 80+ year old dad with arthritic knees. The bedroom suite upstairs was helpful for the older couple with us too, for privacy and nighttime bathroom trips. We all appreciated the stock of flavored coffee and the hot chocolate in the kitchen! Loved the fact that we could all convene comfortably in both dining room and living room....

"Property was very clean, and centrally located. Enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the evenings. We ate at Don Patrons. The food and service was wonderful. "

"A very peaceful and secluded place to stay that is still close to Snowshoe. Plenty of room to spread out both inside and outside. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of toiletries provided. No one mentions the soothing sounds of the water running from the front porch! There are extra great condition mattresses and plenty of blankets and pillows. Family games to choose from and a nice smoker/charcoal grill. "It was great. As motorcycle riding friends, the location was in close proximately to incredible riding every day. The home was incredibly clean and communication with the property manager was outstanding. Would definitely stay there again."

"The remote location and quiet setting was perfect for our group's annual outing. We made good use of the smoker and grill and had a fantastic time. The theater in the basement (along with air hockey) came in handy after the sun set. Hosts were responsive and fantastic, and check-out procedures were simple and easy. Would definitely recommend this "cabin" for a family or two looking to get off the beaten path and enjoy the oudoors. Good hiking in the area, and the view from the "top of the hill"...

The toilet looked like it had never been sat on. We stayed in a primitive cabin, with our own locked toilet and locked shower room within a communal building. The entire building was immaculate! "Stayed for one night and enjoyed it. Comfy rooms, and decent breakfast. Used the gym here and quite small but not horrible, doesn’t look like many people use it (no waters in fridge, no place to put dirty towels) but can’t complain. Friendly and helpful staff!"

"Enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub in the room , but the spout could have been bigger to fill up faster. Took a while to fill up. (No big deal ) Overall the staff was great ! Very friendly and helpful. They went out of the way to accommodate us even booking us an extra day at the last minute. Very pleased with the rate. "

"This property was EXCEPTIONALLY clean! It appeared that this was a brand new facility in every area we were in. The showers were very clean, including the shower curtain. The toilet looked like it had never been sat on. We stayed in a primitive cabin, with our own locked toilet and locked shower room within a communal building. The entire building was immaculate! Our cabin was perfectly clean as well. The only issue was a torn screen on one of the windows and even with the heat "off", it was too warm to sleep. We opted to turn the breaker off to the heat and slept very well (47-59° outside during our stay). The staff was very friendly and helpful. My son loved feeding the trout and petting the lodge cat. No wifi, ac, or tv in the primitive cabin, but we dont use those things anyway. When i needed to call home, i stood on the porch of the gift shop/lobby/restaurant and got a strong wifi signal to video call. We will definitely be back! We look forward to being lulled to sleep by the Elk River (borders property) again! "
