"A 1 night stay for work reasons. The pub and food are excellent with a good selection at a reasonable price. My room was comfortable but very cold due to the old leaking sash windows. All in all for the price it's ok for a 1 night stay. "

"We loved the idea of staying in a castle and that in itself was magical. We stayed in the Cromwell Suite which is big. The kids loved the extra room to roam. The high ceiling in the living/2nd bed area was nice and contributed to the majestic feel.There were however a few things that could have been better. "The food in The Lion was first class, and the service from Elisha and Mark. However the room had a few problems 1 the hot water was scolding instantly and no mixer , if any child opens the hot tap they woild have 3rd degree burns. 2 the coffee machine had no water chamber ( missing ) 3 there was no bulb in the table lamp Room was clean just not maintained regular in my opinion , ive been in the trades for 40 years so all the jobs would take an hour After saying that i would still stay...

"Great location for exploring the Cotswolds. The pub is a lovely country pub. Its right next door to Hook brewery which does a lovely breakfast. The room we had was large and spacious for all 4 of us. We highly recommend this pub."

"It's a great little country pub. The welcome was warm, and the breakfast was very good. My room was ok (room 5 first floor), the ensuite is small (a larger person would not fit). The bed was creaky and uncomfortable and the noise from the bar is very loud."
