"Being at The Nest beginning the 3rd of September for a week was perfect. The landscape was ablaze with fall colors, and the tops of the mountains began to be covered in snow. Looking out the front window was like looking at a painting!! On our first night there we were greeted by a large cow moose wandering past the front deck. The cabin was warm, cozy, private, and had all that we needed to be comfortable. Denali National Park is just a short drive. You will not be disappointed if you choose to...

"Beautiful spot. Rustic of course. The road in is quite difficult. You need both the 4wd (which I had) and some offroading skills (which maybe I had less of). But Dave got us through it; picked us up inhis ATV and got our car out. If you do decide to try it yourself you need to commit to it. I got stuck because I was timid. Ideally get there before dark."

"The owners have a lovely property with three cabins. Lots of woods in a peaceful setting. Sitting on the front porch is relaxing with a view of the mountains. We even saw the Aurora Borealis. The cabin we rented was clean and had a full kitchen (no dishwasher) and 2 queen beds. The location is convenient to Denali without the traffic. Healy is a small town with a few good restaurants, a small grocery store, and gas stations. There are also Denali flightseeing companies in Healy. We would stay...

"Yes, it's a rustic cabin with a pit toilet, just as described. Cute, remote little cabin in the woods. The heater kept us warm, there was plenty of hot water and water pressure, and lots of space. Plenty of kitchen implements, dishes, silverware and glasses were provided. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the bedding arrangement, with a top sheet, and light and heavier blankets.
