"Property was exactly as I envisioned, older home updated to provide all you need for a comfortable stay. Hot tub works! Remote area, but within access to Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Monterey and Highland County. House and adjacent property is a birder's paradise, walking the trail through the woods and the driveway itself provides many different birds. I saw a Scarlet Tanager, Turkeys, Vireos, Warblers, etc. Also saw a box turtle (rare sighting these days!). Absolutely no noise or light pollution at night. Heard a barred owl and coyotes. "

"This was a short get away just to relax. We couldn't believe how thoughtful our host was. She thought of everything, and I do mean everything! We had a wonderful stay and were very appreciative of how nice the cabin is. We loved it and will be booking again in the future! Perfect place to just go and be quiet. "Our stay was excellent and the property and surrounding area was bliss- private backyard backing up to a creek, quiet and scenic, just wonderful and just as described. The house was well equipped, clean, and had everything we needed for my family (and our two dogs) to enjoy for my birthday weekend. The area is very remote which makes it a great getaway from the busy DC area. Will definitely return again "

"Lovely place. Our 5 year old declared the cabin “so cozy!” and had an absolute blast. The hosts take great care of their guests; lots of thoughtful touches throughout and a fridge full of bottled water. Sereda is very responsive if you have any questions. The location is perfect, halfway up a hill so you're looking out into trees - an excellent set up for bird watching from the covered porch. The cabin has binoculars and a birding guide. You're only about 20 minutes from a Walmart if you forget any necessities.The cabin’s furnishings are set up perfectly for relaxing. There's plenty of spots with lamps for reading and places to set your mug of coffee or tea. The table is large enough for most card or board games. We had a wonderful time and hope to return in the future."

"The setting is beautiful. I know from my research about the Thorn Creek restoration project some years ago and wow what a success that was. The cottage was so cleanAnd well stocked with everything you could possibly need or want. Can't wait to come back."
