"Perfect cottage for myself and a friend. Great location for us, very peaceful but close enough to nearby towns and a stone’s throw from the local pub The Kings Head where everyone was very welcoming. The owners of the cottage had thought of everything! It was beautifully decorated and dressed…absolutely faultless. It was lovely and warm, especially with the log burner that, as it was cold enough, we were able to use. Would definitely like to rerun. Thanks Ann and Peter!"

"Joe and I had a wonderful stay at The Shed. The space and size were perfect and exactly what we were looking for in a English countryside cottage stay. The bed was comfortable. We spent plenty of time in the cozy living room reading and relaxing. The kitchen was serviceable. The heaters took a bit of time to get going but they put out plenty of heat to keep the space warm. "Quiet surroundings, deer in the garden . Clean and stylish , very well restored. "

"This property was a great location and was overall very clean. Parking was a dream. The only issues were that there was a leak from the ceiling which caused a bit of a musty smell and the dishes in the cupboard were not clean. The beds were very comfortable and the location was in a great neighbour with many shops and restaurants. It was also very quiet. "

"Such a beautiful property right on the lake. It was perfect for our family get together and the teens loved being able to take their paddle boards straight off the jetty onto the lake. Lots to do in the surrounding area as well. Great support from orion holidays on site. Replaced the bedding for my sister within half an hour to help her allergy! Amazing team"

"We stayed in the Granary which was decorated for Christmas, it had such a lovely homely feel to the property. There was a very much appreciated welcome pack of mince pies, shortbread, wine and milk. The beds are super comfy and I honestly had some of the best sleeps staying here. The pool room was stunning and we loved the exclusive 2 hour slots that can be booked.We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return!"

"Great, centrally-located property. The appartment was modern, clean &spacious. The staff were friendly & helpful. I had a room above the pedestrianised area which meant there was a bit of noise from people leaving the pubs but it soon died down. I'd stay again."

"Set in the countryside the building is very impressive. There is ample parking but due to the hotels popularity one may have to walk a fair distance to get to the entrance. The entrance hall with its staircase is very impressive. On checking in the friendly receptionist gives you a map so you can find your room. This is a vital document as the route to ones room is a maze. We were upgraded and had a suite on two floors. Arriving late we had dinner in the Atrium. The food was good. The next morning we had breakfast in the Restaurant which was excellent. Prior to leaving we walked round the grounds which every guest should see."

Great get away.

"The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and spacious, lots of choices for diners. Breakfast was buffet style, very varied and the view from the dining windows looked over the grounds. All in all, an enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend. "

Lovely staff, accommodation, breakfast & location

"I added a note to my booking to ask info and to ask for extra duvet. Got swift answer and spare duvet ready when we checked in. Staff friendly, sofa bed good size, room clean and included bedroom was very lovely. Also great location with good food in pub just across the car park"

Excellent weekend break

"Had an excellent 2 night break. No delays or issues checking in, friendly greeting, everything was explained. Room was clean, tidy and bigger than expected. We ate in the restaurant in the evening - food was delicious, great service made it a lovely relaxing experience. Breakfast the next day was good, no shortage of choice and freshly cooked buffet and continental food. One issue - one of 2 coffee machines was broken (these things happen), the other on a go slow, so there were queues which could have been better managed, worked around"
