The hosts are lovely people who gave good advice on the local area. Bear in mind that almost everything is closed on Sundays and business hours are more limited than you may be used to. "We bleven van donderdag tot en met het weekend en trokken maandag verder. Heerlijk huis met rust en ruimte. Aldi op 10 minuten. Bezinepomp in de buurt. Makkelijke ontsluiting naar veel mooie en leuke plekken in de Vogezen. De kinderen hebben enorm genoten van het zwembad bij het huisje."

"Great pool shared with another large gite but this was not a problem as pool open 9am-7.30pm and our different holiday rhythms meant usually had the pool to ourselves. "The property is wonderfully arranged and decorated and turned out to be exactly as described. It feels homey and we loved hanging out in the large living room/kitchen. The weather wasn't the best but both the outside terrace and the little shed near the stream are beautiful to enjoy when the weather is right. I would not recommend this property for groups with young children because of the stream and the difficult access for young children to the kids bedroom. There's tons of things to do around...

"We really enjoyed our stay in Metzeral. The house was very clean, the rooms perfectly proportioned with two ideal bathrooms and a large living room and dining room which was ideal for 8 of us. Everything was thought off, with wine and cake when we arrived, coffee in the cupboard and beer in the fridge!! There were even bikes in the garage, probably the best house we have ever stayed in.we will recommend to friends and hopefully come back soon."

"We rented the property for a week. We came from the US and were pleasantly surprised. The place was wonderful, clean and had all that was needed. Mr. Sittler was attentive and very nice. Very close to the wine road and a small walk to a very nice restaurant. We will definitely return and highly recommend the place."

"We were very happy and satisfied with our stay. The house is big and all necessary amenities are there. Perfect if you are looking for a relaxing time! The only slightly negative is that it can get VERY warm (in summer) in the top sleeping quarters."

"Lovely cosy property in quiet village. It was not clear from the Vrbo listing that the swimming pool was shared with the owner. Not too much of a problem but it would have been nice to know. Charming property owners."
