"Arriving at 8pm from the airport we discovered - as had four other guests booked via various platforms - that the 'hotel' had to send us a QR code in order that we could check in for a room we had paid well in advance. Much messaging of the 'hotel' they kept assuring us that the guard knew we were coming, guard kept saying (correctly) that we needed a QR code. "It was a pretty good stay. Quito is going through some power outages (due to the drought), so we had power off a lot of the time we were there at the property. But that's not necessarily the owner's fault -- everyone in Quito is getting their energy cut right now. Overall, it was a good deal, located up in a relatively safe area (in the financial district). I'm not sure I'll ever be in Quito again, but I'd definitely consider staying here again if I did. ~Jon"
