"Perfect! Stayed in a shepherds hut which was cosy and had everything we could need. Hostess was friendly and couldn’t do enough for us and we had an evening meal which was fabulous! Not overpriced and a really god choice on the menu to suit everyone! Would definitely stay again"

"We had a lovely couple of nights stay, it was very peaceful and secluded at the cabin which was perfect. We were pretty much left to our own devices which was quite nice, although we knew the wardens were on site if anything was needed. Lovely set of amenities provided so we were able to cook for ourselves. Only things I would request more of were a sponge for washing dishes (dish soap provided but no way to clean the dishes so we bought our own), and also some extra loo rolls! We ran out on our final morning, we were given one roll and a few sheets on a spare in the cupboard. Whilst we could have asked for more if we had time, this might have been easier to just have a full spare roll in the cabin to begin with. The bed was very comfy and it was nice to pull the sofa bed out as well to put our feet up (although we did find a previous guest’s crochet needle in the sofa bed so perhaps a more thorough check over is needed between guests). The guest book was a lovely touch and we enjoyed writing our experiences in it and reading those of previous guests. Overall a lovely stay and we are already planning on returning! Thank you"

I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which was beautifully prepared and a perfect start to my day. "Our check in time was 3pm and although the booking was accepted and property details provided, we were not send the code to access the key box. We messaged the host for the final access details as we were arriving and got no response. We called VRBO who provded details to contact the host directly and also no response. We then recieved a message at 3:45pm (after the 3pm check in time) cancelling the booking due to a 'water leak'. Why the host was checking for water leaks after the time we were meant to have access to the property and had not checked the property prior to this is unknown and the host has not responded to our follow up query. We would also expect communication as soon as an issue is known about, not due to us chasing them. I would recommend avoiding this property as based on our experience, the host is unreliable and you could end up stranded in Manchester without somewhere to stay."
