"Excellent property set in a beautiful village. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great pub serving hearty food just across the road. Easy access to beautiful walks in the countryside and to lovely towns. "

Nothing was too much trouble and the property was amazing and even better than the photos suggest. "We had a wonderful weekend at the Old Chapel with our family. The space is very generous with a huge living area, massive kitchen/diner, a small reading ms /games room and 6 good sized bedrooms all ensuite. Everything was top quality. "

"A beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location. Very well equipped and lots of extras provided. The bed is super comfortable and big ! Top quality amenities. We had a lovely stay."

"We loved our stay in Wirksworth. Such a lovely area for walking and cycling which we were after. The cottage was lovely. Very comfy beds, great sofa and fab log burner. Kitchen has everything you need. The shower is definitely small as the listing says. However i dont thjnk i realised how small - we managed (just) but this is the only negative in an other wise lovely stay. The village is also great, again with everything you need in terms of variety of places to eat and drink."

"There was many things that were incredibly disappointing about this property. An hour before arriving we received a message to say the main bathroom toilet was blocked and they weren’t going to fix it before our stay, meaning the only toilets available were inside the 2 en-suite bathrooms. After arriving we found the house in what seemed to be mid construction. The kitchen was still covered in protective plastic, with cupboards without handles and a complete lack of cutlery, glasses and plates....

"This was our second visit. This is a really well-designed and characterful small cottage with a large (and warm!) private pool a short distance across the garden. There are fabulous views of the lower part of the White Peak area from the cottage, and walks from the door or from Ilam - a couple of miles away. The hosts offer a warm welcome. Another great stay. "Lock on the bathroom didn’t work, wifi not great. We stayed in number 19 flat 3. Don’t feel it should be advertised as luxury/deluxe, location really good so would recommend for that. And good value for money, perfect for 1-2 nights 👍 Wife says could’ve done with another mirror for getting ready. "

Very pleasant stay

"Went above and beyond to make our stay really enjoyable. Staff were so friendly. Room was clean and beds comfortable. During our stay we had a lovely walk around the gardens with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. We enjoyed a very tasty 3 course meal on the evening and breakfast was great. Would highly recommend and will certainly be visiting again. "
