"Overall it was a good trip. The location was a little further out from town than we liked. 15 minutes to a DG and 25-30 minutes to fast food. We were running a lot for our stay, so this made it a little inconvenient. The marina restaurant was closed for the season. If you were staying at the lake and cooking, it would work better. "Wonderful property on Watts-Barr lake with a dock. 3rd year in a row coming down for Labor Day with friends. The dock is awesome for swimming with kiddos and keeping the boat. The boat ramp is only 10 minutes away. The water slide from the top level is thrilling for sure! The house was clean and stocked generously with cookware and dishes. Great views of the sunset and wildlife abound. Definitely on our list of places to come back to. "

We had other family members renting the house next door, and had all of them over one night to cook for my grandma's 90th birthday. The only complaint is that its a minimum 20-30 minute drive to get to anything. Amd if you need to leave, do it during the day. "We had a great time at the cabin, which was actually built by my grandfather. It served as a family gathering place for decades until a family dispute required us to sell it. I miss the cabin my grandfather named Le’Arpent, a Cajun term for “about an acre”. The house is quaint, calm, and has a nice view of and access to the lake. We loved the kayaks!"

"What an amazing property on the lake! We brought three generations of folks plus our boat and it couldn’t have been better. The fire pit by the lake was magical at night and the fireplace in the screened in porch was amazing for morning coffee. The beds were so comfortable and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare yummy meals. We hope to come back again!"
