"We took a quick trip to Southern Illinois to celebrate my wife's birthday, and ride the Tunnel Hill Bike Trail. The cabin was very clean, well supplied and comfy bed. The hot tub and outdoor fire pit were perfect for relaxing after a day on the trail. A great cabin and area check it out! "

"We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was cute and cozy, perfect for my husband and me. There is a nice deck to star gaze or sit in the sunshine. Steve, our host, went above and beyond helping us with the TV as we like to relax in the evening while watching sports. This is a great place to stay and we highly recommend it!"

"I have nothing but gushing reviews for my Makanda Cabin stay. The cabin was easy to navigate to. When I opened the door I found a clean, comfortable, well appointed place, with two good size bedrooms, living room with fireplace, a bathroom stocked with plenty of towels and soap. "We loved this cute little one-bedroom cabin that was so sweetly decorated and included a beautiful chandelier. The front porch has two rocking chairs and the backyard has a firepit with two Adirondack chairs where we built a fire in the fall. The owner was so kind and we just loved our cabin in the woods! "This place was perfect for our weekend stay. The cabin was clean and cozy, thought it could be buggy due to the location but not one in sight. We used the pullout couch bed which was good for our needs but the mattress is thin so it was helpful we brought a second comforter to add more cushioning. Also, the host was very attentive and responsive. Place had everything we needed and I would definitely stay again! "

"We were expecting a simple, quiet cabin in the woods for a brief get away. Although listings often use flowery adjectives like luxurious and cozy, this one was truly a standout. High-end kitchenware, unique and regionally appropriate decor and art, leather furniture, a Pendleton wool blanket for the couch and so much more made us immediately feel like a welcomed guest at a friend’s home. It was perfect!"
