"I can’t tell you how many times we said “what a beautiful location” this weekend! It is truly stunning! We enjoyed use of the lake and the many kayaks, paddle boards and paddle boats they had. We also enjoyed feeding the miniature horses apples. The house is clean, comfortable and well stocked. Plenty of room! Close to the wine trail, Giant City and Carbondale. "If you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing place to stay, look no further! This cute home located right next to Shawnee National Forest was the perfect weekend getaway for us and our dogs. The house is back in the woods with over 8 acres to explore. And the stars at night were incredible! Everything was very clean and our host provided bottled water and had all the makings for coffee. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit!"

"We have been renting vacation properties for 25 years, including all over the So IL/Shawnee area, and this cabin, and its location, is by far our favorite in the area! Allison is WONDERFUL and worked w our needs for our stay (we had to make last minute reservations to attend funeral services). Gorgeous home, gorgeous property, even better owners.
