"The home and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The home was very clean and well appointed, having everything we needed. Sally, the owner/host is the kindest person who really looked after us. She provided us with contacts for drivers, tour guides, and even a chef. She even made dining reservations for us. "Fantastic property. 16 of us for a family birthday. Lots of different spaces so we werent on top of each other all the time. The teens really enjoyed the games room. It was also great having all of us round the huge dining table. Location is ideal so we walked in to Galashiels and also in to tweedbank , no need to get in the car. "

"The property was situated in a small hamlet about a 10 minute drive from Kelso. The accommodation was beautiful and spacious with everything you might need. Beds comfy, sofa not so much. We used a local taxi and got a takeaway delivered one night. Lovely accommodation in a quiet aetting. "

"All was great. This is a working stable with horses and those many that have to care for horses, plus at least one friendly dog. You felt welcomed and that was appreciated. With a 15 minute drive you are in North Berwick and so close to John Muir park and Seacliff. Seacliff is special. The only, and minor, negative was that it was not a peaceful place when we were there- lots of tree trimming (Chain saw) and chipping- so very noisy at times. "Overall it was a great stay. The hosts were very personable and very willing to help with ideas of what to see and where to eat. Also, the Hosts were very kind and upon our arrival there was a bottle of wine, 2 apples, 2 bananas, package of bagels and shortbread cookies. Milk in the refrigerator along with butter and marmalade. We were disappointed there was not a clothes dryer as mentioned in the listing. "If you want to explore Edinburgh this is a really great location. While compact, we were comfortable as a family of 5, and the kitchen was very well stocked, with some lovely personal touches. Station and supermarket both an easy walk. Very nice."
