"My sister and I stayed for two nights. The cabin was exactly as advertised, very welcoming and comfortable. We had a fire one night and used the hot tub the next! We spent one day exploring and were close to many of the places we wanted to visit. One unique aspect was the book in the cabin that others who stayed, wrote in. It was helpful to guide our day of hiking. We will be BACK! If I had to complain, it went by too fast. "

"We were only able to stay for a short time due to our busy schedules with work etc. But let me just say in the time we were there it was a much needed get away. If I wouldn’t get in Trouble for trespassing I’d never leave lol. It was beyond beautiful and property owners were great people. "My friends and I get together every winter for a few days at a cabin or lodge somewhere in the Midwest. This lodge was, by far, the best place we have ever stayed. Also, it is close to some of the interesting historic parks within the Shawnee National Forest. In addition, Jessica immediately responded to any questions we had while staying there. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone seeking peace and quiet for a gathering of friends or family."

"Everything was great, only concerns we had was there two black dogs - some say may have been coyotes that would not leave our deck, and ran inside our room as soon as we got there. Was not a huge deal, but did not want to sit outside and enjoy the view because of it. Also a little nervous as out 2nd locks did not work on the door, and main lock on the back patio was tough tonlock. Otherwise, clean nice place for the price, would for sure stay again, but recomend updating doors!!! "
