"We chose this house because of the location. It is quite remote, in a very small hamlet about 10km up narrow roads. Villaviciosa is a lovely small town and worth a walk around. The hamlet of Piedrafita is exactly that, a hamlet. We were hugely disappointed that the local bar/eatery had suffered a fire and was out of action for the foreseeable. Our host Maria was very friendly and welcoming and very generous in hospitality leaving us frequent baskets of fresh blueberries and even making us a delicious traditional rice pudding. "Beautifully designed property surrounded by local farms and close to the quaint village of Tazones, only a 25 minute drive to Villaviciosa. You can hike directly to Tazones and a few other routes right from the property. The rooms are very spacious and well-appointed, modern, and clean. The kitchen has decent cookware and good silverware and plates. I would stay here again in a heartbeat."
