"Had a great stay. One of the rooms was quite cold on arrival and took a while to warm up and the same room was not refreshed while we were out but overall an excellent place to stay. Spacious, quiet and comfortable beds. Would certainly stay there again when in Truro. "

"Having spent years staying in National chain hotels this pub was exceptional & a breath of fresh air. Friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed & clean on suite rooms. Breakfast was probably the best freshly cooked that I've ever had. 5* for me. I would definitely recommend."

"I don't normally leave reviews but this was worth a decent review. Booked late on the day of arrival & they were 100% ready for my arrival. My room was clean, modern, bed was comfortable & the shower was good. Food was superb (I'd definitely recommend the King Prawn & Crab linguine) & breakfast was equally as good. Most importantly the staff were so pleasant (apologies I didn't catch anyone's name). Next time I'm in the area this will be the first place I look for."

"Staff were polite and helpful. Room was very dated and very small, but clean and comfortable. However the loud music coming from the bar below our room went on until 11 pm so if you want a quiet restful place to stay DO NOT CONSIDER this location."

"Nice room and pleasant staff . Very good breakfast , Only thing that tainted our stay was the dog was not allowed to eat in restaurant and we were directed to the bar or outside . Neither was an option as the bar was packed due to sport and outside was cold . So no evening meal . Some leniency on our dog in restaurant would have been appropriate given the situation . "

"Lovely old hotel in the heart of the village , roaring fire , great menu and if like me you are a coeliac you are well catered for . Parking just around the corner and very cheap Very clean room , everything needed . Excellent breakfast and so friendly , we will return "

"Comfortable room, though not large, with en-suite and a really comfortable bed. We were welcomed on arrival and helped upstairs with our luggage. We had key to come and go as we pleased and visited different places each day. Only one wet day, otherwise warm and sunny - good for October. Mostly came back to eat dinner at the Inn - food was delicious. Excellent breakfasts too. Staff did everything possible to make it a good holiday for us. Many thanks! "

"The Bugle Inn is the oldest building in the area. We had our evening meal in the bar, the food was lovely, good portions size, nicely presented. We had a good night's sleep, the beds were comfy, the shower was hot. We did find a cobweb. Breakfast was a full cornish and was lovely. "

"Beautiful sunset views from almost every room. Great bathrooms, good mattresses, pillows and bedding. However, the house needs a little TLC/updating. We still had a great stay and it was ideal for 4 mature ladies to get away for a long weekend of R&R"
