"The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little...

"First time in Newbiggin and enjoyed it, the town has plenty of resources- a corner shop just round the corner and pubs, takeaways, cafes and a couple of restaurants, a small craft ale bar too. There’s going to be a new bar/café opening any day now just over the road down on the beach which will be handy (and as it’s low down shouldn’t cause any problems). "We stayed here for 2 nights for my 50th birthday. Jane was fantastic, decorating the cabin after a (very!) last minute request from my other half, and was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The cabin is beautiful and surprisingly spacious, equipped with everything you could possibly need. The views from the terrace and hot tub are beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have recommended it to friends, we will definitely be back! Thank you x"
