"Not only did we enjoy our lodging at the Fat Badger but the meals we had there were fabulous as well. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us during their busy holiday season. The ambience & the decor is beautiful but it was the service we received by all of the staff and the food which was the highlight of our trip. "Nice pub, our room was above bar so you could hear the bar below, it's a pub at the end of the day so you have to expect some noise. Room clean and tidy bed comfy shower good and hot, tea making facilities tea bags wont replenished. For the price of room it was value for money. "Fabulous location opposite the end of the Shambles and within easy walking distance of all of York’s attractions. Only one vegetarian option on the menu and limited selection of cask ales. There was no room cleaning for the 3 nights we stayed there - toilet rolls and drink replenishment had to be asked for downstairs. Cups were cardboard ‘to-go’ variety and there was no hairdryer.
