"This place is truly a hidden gem, and the staff is absolutely incredible! It should be on everyone’s list when visiting Sri Lanka. The owner is wonderful; she invited my friend and me for tea, picked us up in her SUV since our tuk-tuk couldn't make it up the hill due to an earlier accident, and welcomed us warmly despite our late check-in. "Tricky to get to, small uncomfortable bed, very dirty, bottled water seen to have been bottled manually (didn't touch it, it had bits inside). Description mentioned 18 pools, we only saw one. Very poorly sound proofed. Not cheap (especially food). Pretty scenery all around."

"Excellent location with easy walk to Kandy Lake and Tooth Temple. Staff were very courteous and professional. Room was very clean, modern design and breakfast buffet was of high quality and plenty of choices. Great value for the stay. We had a fantastic view of the lake and city from our balcony. "

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff

"I had a really nice stay at Viyana. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It was in a good location by the lake and the evening meals I had there were tasty. Air con and water system were a bit noisy but other than that it was great. I would stay here again."

Great hotel at a reasonable price!

"This hotel is a great choice for a short stopover. All staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are comfortable with a huge bathroom , which is well kitted out with amenities. The only downside is the air conditioning unit which is very loud. Breakfasts are varied and dinners are tasty. "
