"This property is clean and well appointed, pictures are accurate and up to date. Check in and check out are self serve, easy, and convenient. We used this property as a jumping off point to explore the trails of the Susquehannock state forest and were not at all disappointed. The property owner is kind and helpful and quickly answered a number of questions that I asked via the VRBO messenger app. We will defiantly be returning to explore even more of the beautiful wilderness in this area and would definitely stay here again as a first choice."

"Classic old charm....and I mean lots and loads of charm. Decent free breakfast and on site dinning. In center of village so walking about is a must. We visited to view the stars at Cherry Springs which is 45 minutes away. The rooms are small compared to most hotels and our bed was a bit soft for me but just right for my partner. I will gladly take a smaller room just to stay at this hotel. The staff is soo friendly and helpful for directions and recommendations. Place gets a 10 ."

"Very clean and comfy sitting room, and comfy mattresses. Nice place to stay and well located. One wrinkle that we thankfully were able to overcome (with the owner’s eventual help) was that they attempted to charge us extra per person for linens(!). After paying plenty per night on Expedia for a “luxury” suite, we were shocked at this request, especially when the Expedia listing specifically said that linens were included. It felt like gouging and bait-and-switch. Apparently the owners aren’t happy with the money they net from Expedia, but that’s something they’ll need to work out on their own, without attempting to squeeze guests without full disclosure upfront. Hopefully they’ll add “Linens Not Included” in caps at the top of their Expedia listing and what the extra fee is. Or better yet, just include linens and raise the room price if they have to. Good news is that the owners in the end waived the attempted extra fee. And the place was nice and totally met our needs. But the exchange felt a bit gaslighty (eg owner said “some people miss that in the Expedia listing”, which is exactly the opposite of what happened - there was nothing to miss). My impression is that a better rate (for the owners and hopefully for guests too) could be obtained by calling the property directly, outside of Expedia, but I’m not sure of that. We liked the place a lot, and the owners did make the right call when questioned. So we would recommend it to fellow travelers!"

"My family and I booked this cabin for a long weekend getaway from the craziness of life. The cabin worked great for our family. The location is perfect as it's right on Pine Creek and the rail trail. It's such a beautiful and peaceful area. We appreciated all of the amenities provided by the host, especially the firewood. We would certainly stay here again!"

"This cabin was one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in. It was clean, cozy, comfortable, and so very conveniently located near the hiking/biking trails. The park like setting of the backyard was very relaxing and enjoyable. There is some road noise however, but it didn't bother us. There are a couple great restaurants down the road, and Wellsboro is 10 minutes away for lots of restaurant choices. Communication with the owner was easy and fast. We loved this rental home!"
