There are parts of the hotel which do need updating though. Everything is clean and the beds are comfy but some areas look a little tired for example the bathrooms. "Lovely old-fashioned unique hotel. Lots of choice for food, and the spa is fab - £12 access per room is great, and the facilities were clean and updated. The gym/health club was a huge plus and made the stay even better. I would say the Bistro could do with some redecorating - the food was good and very reasonable, but the ambience/decor was a little plain for a dinner location! Aside from that, the rooms were clean, spacious and comfy, and the staff were all really friendly. Such a nice location for a weekend country getaway "
