"This hotel was amazing! It is a traditional Japanese style hotel but equally has some added comforts, like the super comfy beds. The area surrounding the hotel is stunning and is a nice quieter area to stay rather than staying in Kyoto. You can then easily get into Kyoto by bus or train, with the bus stop and train station just across the road/round the corner. There are lots of shops and nice restaurants nearby as well as amazing walks, shrines and other sites to see. The staff were friendly and the hotel was really clean. We tried the breakfast at the hotel and it was really traditional Japanese breakfast. We liked the experience but weren't fans of the food but worth trying! Would definitely stay again!"

"The shuttle bus service to and from. On the way out the bus dropped us at one of three World Heritage temples (Ninnaji), helping us get our travels off on the right foot."

"The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close walk to the metro and the bamboo forest. Enjoyed our time here."

"The room was within walking distance from the bamboo forest and local restaurants. It was hard to find dining at night because some restaurants close early and you have to cross bridge to search for other restaurants. Too many gnats flying around. Gnats were also in the rooms. The staff were really nice and very helpful and patient."

"The pictures and website don't give this place justice, it was one of the most amazing and relaxing experiences I've had. I had a group of 4 and we booked a room with a private hot spring and foot bath. The room was traditional with the shoji doors and windows, everyone at the hotel is given yukata robes and sandals to wear which were comfortable and fun. We opted for the meals in the restaurant, I loved everything they served and the staff was so professional and kind. I recommend you eat everything with an open mind, it was delectable. We paid extra to visit the mountainside hot spring, it was a small outdoor walk and my favorite part. It's big enough for a group but I went with just my husband and it was a vibe. It was rainy and the sun was setting but I still loved it. I highly recommend staying here, and shout-out to the shuttle guy for driving everyone back and forth seamlessly from the train station "
