"For a very old property, this is a decent value for the price paid. The lobby and breakfast area are clean. The rooms are clean, but not modern. It was quiet and the bed was comfy so it met my needs. I could see that not all rooms, or areas of the property had been addresses by the current owners. Again, my room met my needs at a price that was fair for my usage."

When we arrived at Cedar River, I found that the cabin I thought I reserved was not the one I actually reserved. Fortunately for us Nikki was there to check us in and helped us upgrade to a bigger cabin to fit our family and puppies. "Great place, that's why we book this place every time we come to Illinois. Great neighbors who are very friendly and the setting is relaxing and beautiful. The cabin has all you need, just bring your clothes. The host were very helpful when we didn't receive our door code and responded quickly. We will be returning soon."
