"Beautiful cottage, small but ideal for two. Lovely gardens. A bit of traffic noise because it's right above a bend on the main road to Frigiliana and, as others have mentioned, dogs barking through the night are off putting, but probably out with the owners control. Some information on the surrounding area, amenities etc. would be helpful.. The electric blanket, bathroom heater, air con heating and of course a great wood burning stove made this an excellent, cosy winter stay"

"We could not have asked for a single thing to have been better. If you stay at this property, you will have the best time. We have stayed at VRBO's in Europe and North America, and this was the best experience we've had. The accommodation and hillside location with spectacular mediterranean views make it hard to beat. They have put a lot of thought into the details to ensure it feels like home. The hosts greeted us on arrival and made us feel so welcomed throughout our stay. They answered all our questions and provided great recommendations for sites to see, restaurants, parking etc. They hosted us for dinner one evening and that was one of the most memorable experiences on our trip. We cannot recommend this property and these warm exceptional hosts enough."

"This pretty old villa is ideally located on the main road between beautiful Frigiliana and bustle Nerja. Ideally located within up hill walking distance to romantic Frigiliana which hosts many lovely restaurants, or an easy 10 min downhill bus ride to Nerja. Having the little bar close by was also very convenient. A spacious clean villa and beautiful garden and pool. Stephen was a great host. "

"The property was located slightly out of the busiest parts of the village, but an easy and enjoyable walk into the heart of things. The fastest way is up the steps directly outside the apartment so get comfortable shoes on. There was only two of us staying, but there would be more than enough room for 6 people. The kitchen has every gadget you could imagine but all the local eating places do great food too. The outside space is great once the sun comes around, which while we were there it was 11ish. It's stays on the balcony until it sets behind the mountain.. the views are lovely. The garage space was a godsend as there was very little parking outside the apartment. We didn't really know which side to use, but we choose one and didn't get a telling off. There was a zapper to open and close the door in the apartment. There are lots of books and DVD's available, but nothing in English.. But that it was an issue for us. Overall a lovely place to spend some time."

"We spent 9 days in the house and it was unforgettable time! The house, with its charming architecture, perfectly captures the spirit of the region. Situated in the heart of town, it's an ideal base for exploring, surrounded by charming stores and excellent restaurants. The location is unbeatable! The house is well-equipped, clean, and cozy. Each level - kitchen, living room, and bedrooms - has its own charm, but the rooftop terrace was our favorite, offering beautiful countryside views. We spent many peaceful mornings and evenings there, enjoying the sunsets. The owners were helpful and friendly, providing invaluable tips. Their recommendation of the beach in La Herradura was spot-on! It was intimate and scenic, and without their advice, we might have missed it. As with older homes, there were minor inconveniences. The lack of air conditioning could be challenging on hot days, and the multi-level layout meant a lot of stairs. Ants appeared but were no issue as long as food was stored properly. Additional advantage: our child learned to stay tidy, thanks to the ants :). In summary, this is a place with soul and character, a home, not a house, ideal for those seeking an authentic experience, not just a generic hotel. We were absolutely delighted and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true Andalusian stay."

"We were an extended family- from late seventies tk babies and all in between. The villa/casa rural was absolutely amazing. The views of the surroundings and Frigiliana town are incredible. Emilia made sure we had arrived safely, touched base to let us know there was a town festival whilst there - so to show our reservation to be let through and for recommendation on which acts and actvities to participate in. The house has tons of space for sleeping, relaxing and socialising. Bedrooms across three areas, pool, bbq, ping pong table and garden. Some have commented on the steep roads to get there- yes it is curvy- you are in a mountain area-but everyone drives carefully and respectfully. Emilia was an amazing host - great recommendations on where to eat, shop, sites and beaches to visit. We would love to go back some day"
