"Stayed in “Deluxe” private room - basically an old motel room, but had microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kitchenette. Manager very helpful, said every guest has towels & sheets provided (info on website was wrong) Not providing free breakfast or soup as stated on website, but Chateau is close to great cafes & bars. Washing machine & dryer worked well - place needs a fix up & paint. "

"Stayed here for one night to visit the glacier. Check in was quick and easy, tree lodge was perfect for our stay, had everything we needed and we ate and drank in Monsoon, where the food was lovely!"

"The room was very large but it seemed like a time warp experience, The unit has not been updated in a good while, which was surprising due to the price. The room was nicely stocked although we did not use the kitchette. The mattress is ready to be replaced. "

"This was probably our favorite place to stay in New Zealand. It's out of town so you definitely need a car, but the rooms are HUGE and modern and comfortable and immaculate. Unbelievably quiet at night. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh and delicious with a nice variety. The person who managed check-in was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again in a heartbeat."
