"We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation....

"All good but building need maintenance "

"I got scammed by the hotel. I booked and it was confirmed, I paid, when calling for directions the reception said it was full and there was nothing they could do and that I must contact customer services for a refund. Customer services rejected the refund request "

"Travelled for a family reunion and stayed for a long weekend at the property. Newly renovated and we had an amazing time. We also appreciates the great customer service and flexibility. The property is exactly like the pictures. Would definitely recommend and stay again! "A whole house with all the trimmings, amenities and warm South African welcome of the owner. The fridge contained complimentary butter, home made jam, bottle of wine and farm fresh milk. There were home made rusks and scrunchies. There was complimentary spices to use as well as olive oil etc etc. We were given two dishwashing pods and laundry detergent to use. I've never stayed in a place that is so well equipped. The owners friendliness further enhanced our stay. "

"Beautiful Villa in the heart of the Western Cape Winelands, close to local shops and malls. With a pool, patio and balcony with amazing views of the mountains and ocean. Loads of areas to relax with two lounges, a dining area and external seating areas. With two and a half bathrooms there are enough amenities for the whole family! Loved our stay! :)"

If you're going to use a management system to advertise on a platform like VRBO, the information needs to be repetitive and CLEAR via the VRBO platform about where to find any further check in and rental information. "We had a very lovely stay here. Everything felt very safe in this neighborhood and we had some very nice walks around the vineyard. The home was clean and cosy with everything we needed. It was very nice to get to know the Gules. My only complaint is that I didn't stay here longer."

The apartment was perfect and in a great location for experiencing everything the town has to offer- walking distance to the shops, restaurants, wine tram, and grocery store. "Had a Marvellous time - The staff make you so welcome and everything is catered for excellently- from breakfast to assisting with dinner reservations, places to see, the owner even went to get a razor and shaving cream from the local shop as I had forgotten mine, Champagne for our anniversary - I can not recommend this place enough it’s a place of tranquility and splendour."

"Fabulous hotel - really well thought out rooms and well appointed and equipped- good pool area,vineyard views and food excellent too -staff helpful and would highly recommend as a base to see Franschhoek or a destination get away R&R break. Only issue is finding the place -Google maps took us down the wrong road - better signage required (but general manager very helpful when I rang their website phone number)"
